Working Structure: Office based for onboarding (3-6 months), 3/2 hybrid split after

Location: Hertfordshire

JGA are seeking an experienced and technically capable Payroll Administrator to join a growing accountancy team based in Watford.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls end-to-end, including starters, leavers, and statutory payments
  • Arrange BACs payments for salaries, tax liabilities, and third-party payments
  • Generate and electronically file all payroll reports accurately
  • Ensure payroll processing complies with statutory and professional regulations
  • Complete all daily payroll tasks according to the departmental schedule
  • Handle ad hoc payroll queries and related tasks efficiently

Skills They Look For:

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice or handling high-volume payrolls within a payroll department
  • Proficient with payroll systems; experience with Star is advantageous
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
