A well-renowned client of ours is seeking a mechanically minded workshop technician to work in a busy assembly department making parts for the main assembly. In this role, you will be using a variety of handheld tools and specialized workshop machinery to manipulate intricate pipework and build small assembly units.

Pipes Operative Responsibilities:

  • Work accurately according to engineering diagrams and build plans
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Cut metallic parts to size using an electric saw
  • Operate workshop machinery to bend and shape intricate metallic piping
  • Assemble small units using handheld tools and adhesives
  • Inspect the quality of your work and perform quality checks
  • Record work in SAP

Pipes Operative Experience:

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Candidates with a plumbing background are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with workshop tools, equipment, and machinery (e.g., drills, adhesives, saws, pipe bending machines)
  • Basic computing skills, preferably with MRP or ERP systems like SAP
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
