Position: Learning and Development Assistant, Vocational Learning (Assessor)

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated assistant who will participate in supporting the delivery of Vocational Learning within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. In this post you will be working within a small and enthusiastic team responsible for delivering Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Modern Apprenticeships and Professional Development Awards.

What you will do:

The post holder will work directly with the Learning and Development Advisor – Vocational Learning in providing advice and guidance on Vocational Qualifications to line and service managers and will undertake workplace assessments, providing learning support and guidance to candidates undertaking an SVQ/MAs in Business & Administration and Learning & Development at SCQF Levels 6 and 7. The post holder will also work closely with the Business Support Manager in supporting the operational requirements of the training and education centres.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, flexible team player who has a working knowledge and understanding of business and administration procedures and guidelines including SVQ/MA delivery with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Whilst this post is based at the training centre at Ayrshire Central Hospital – Irvine, you will be required to work across all sites with scope for some hybrid/home working. The normal shift pattern for this post is 09:00 – 17:00 hrs Monday to Thursday 09:00 and 16:30hrs Friday. Informal enquiries can be made to David.Black@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.
