We are now seeking an individual who will thrive in this type of atmosphere. Our Global Risk Claims team are now looking to recruit a Transportation Claims Operations Lead to join our dynamic and expanding team.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Claims Advocates and senior management team. You will be expected to have prior experience of an operational role, have a strong understanding of claims practices, and bring analytical and problems solving skills to the fore.
Role Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for leading a team of Claim Support Associates who provide administrative claims support to our London based Transportation claims team.
- You will lead your team with enthusiasm, drawing on your experiences gained from working within a prior claims operational environment, to ensure that SLAs and KPI’s are met and appropriately managed.
- You will set development plans for the continued growth & development of the Associates within your team.
- You will provide technical oversight for submissions into the Claims Support team, and be the focal point for escalations, leading these through to prompt resolution.
- You will engage directly with members of our claims team (Aviation, Cargo, Fine Art & Specie and Marine), as well as build a network of contacts throughout the business, to provide the necessary support to resolve technical enquiries.
- Working with your peers and the Claims COO you will help to shape standardised and optimised processes which can be replicated across divisions helping to bring about positive and effective process change to improve & maximise claims servicing efficiencies.
- You will familiarise yourself with our available MI, interact with our MI teams, and be the lead in identifying additional MI capture, whilst working with the teams to design new data-led reporting functionality to enhance our claims service proposition.
- You will be responsible for the oversight and collation of the Transportation Claims teams’ SLAs & KPIs.
- You will represent Transportation claims at the Claims Operational Committee, providing feedback on operational performance, challenges & ongoing project work

- Experience within a claims operational environment.
- Strong understanding of claims / London market claims processes & systems.
- Working towards ACII qualifications would be an advantage.
- Excellent use of standard Microsoft applications
- Familiarity of MS Visio & Power BI advantageous.
- London office presence 3+ days a week and/or as the business requires.
