Job Description:
As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with NHS Shetland to find an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiography.
This position is based in the Shetland Islands starting asap to October 2025. Return travel (within the UK) and single board accommodation will be provided.

Requirements:
- Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
- British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Accredited.
- Professional Registration.
- Advanced knowledge of the effects of disease processes on the heart, the effects and interaction of drugs on the heart in relation to cardiac ultrasound.
- Knowledge and understanding of the effects of previous surgery on the heart and resultant influence on diagnostic scans and reporting outcomes.
- A working knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
