We are a proudly independent farm practice formed after our local mixed practice split into small and farm divisions. We are a very supportive team with forward-thinking, progressive vets. One of our experienced team members is having a career change so we are looking for a farm vet with 2 years + experience.
About us
Located in Pickering, North Yorkshire, we are perfectly positioned for the seaside, the North York Moors and not far from the historic city of York.
Our clients are 40% dairy, the remainder split between beef and sheep. We have a fantastic mix of clients, from progressive dairies to small, traditional herds, with Pedigree Beef and Sheep to commercial sucklers and hill ewes. A scattering of small-holders and some goats for good measure.
We support our local farming community by running regular ‘clubs’ and meetings for our farm clients. We also deliver Red Tractor-approved training courses and MilkSure to improve farmers’ awareness and knowledge of responsible medicine use.
You will be supported by a great team of support staff, including a Farm – SQP and VetTech. We have support staff on call during the busy season for help with OOH work. We have a certificate holder and a DBR holder within the team.
The Package
- Full (4 days) or part time considered
- Equal share OOH rota – currently 1:5
- BCVA or SVS fees paid
- 5 days CPD
