Allergy Tech / Certified Medical Assistant – Floater
As a Medical Assistant/Allergy Tech working in an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic, your responsibilities typically involve a combination of administrative and clinical tasks. Here\’s a detailed job description:
Administrative Duties:
Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient use of time slots and coordination with other staff members.
Patient Registration: Greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and update electronic medical records (EMRs) accurately.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain authorizations for procedures or tests, and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
Medical Records Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records, including filing, scanning, and retrieving documents as needed.
Billing and Coding: Assist with billing processes, including coding procedures and services accurately to ensure proper reimbursement.
Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of medical and office supplies, restock as needed, and coordinate supply orders with the administrative team.
Communication: Facilitate communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers, both in person and over the phone.
