Skilled CNC Machinist to join one of the world’s leading Aerospace/Defence manufacturers in Middlesex CNC / Manual Machinist tasks:

  • Set and operate multi-axis CNC machines (Bridgeport, Hurco and Protrack)
  • Edit programs at the machine
  • Manual machining (primarily lathes/mills and also grinding machines)
  • Mentoring apprentices and trainees
  • Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools
  • Produce high quality low batch components from drawings
  • Self-inspection of machined parts
  • NO OFFLINE PROGRAMMING

Essential experience:

  • Several years CNC Machining experience
  • Ability to confidently set and operate CNC Mills & Lathe’s
  • Ability to operate manual machinery e.g lathes/mills
  • Proven Self inspection skills using micrometers, vernier calipers etc
  • Deburring experience/knowledge

Hours:37hrs per week (8am – 5pm Mon to Thurs & early finish on Friday of 8am – 12pm) Benefits:Overtime 1.5x and 5 – 10 hours available a week.Fantastic pension scheme, Healthcare Plan Candidates that can demonstrate the following knowledge alongside the machining capabilities would be at adistinctadvantage. **Understanding 5’s, Continuous improvement, Kanban also CMM inspection knowledge** For all successful candidates, our client will undertake background security checks.
