We are supporting our client with 2 new roles for Trainee Timber Design Technicians. Based in Wrexham, they are going from strength to strength and want to grow their Design team

My client has the experience and expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions for any building project. Their specialist staff understand the complexity of the construction process and are committed to providing the highest levels of service to their customers. They cater to various projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality in every build.

You will be working closely with the project team, learning to design and estimate timber frame structures. Daily tasks include assisting in the preparation of design drawings, calculating material quantities, preparing cost estimates, liaising with clients and suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of project requirements.

Essential:

  • Good numeracy and computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Reliable, with a good work ethic and time management skills
  • Interest in construction, architecture, or engineering
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Basic understanding of construction or technical drawing (from school, college, or personal interest)
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Vertex, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)

Hours of work are Mon-Friday 8.30am – 5pm

Salary from £12.21 per hour
