Overview

We have an opportunity available for a Part Time Support Worker to join the team at Sherdley Court based in Prescot, Merseyside L35 4PD.

Salary: £12.60 per hour

• 16 hour contract: Working from Mon to Fri, 5-6 hours per day (some weekend work may be required as and when needed) – this is to cover 1-1 hours escorting people into the community to access appointments and local activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to service users, particularly those with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviour that challenges.
  • Assist with domestic tasks and support residents to access the community and attend appointments and local activities.
  • Build and sustain a warm, caring environment that makes service users feel seen and valued.
  • Tailor support to each individual’s needs, demonstrating empathy and adapting approaches as required.

Qualifications

  • No prior industry experience or specific qualifications required to be considered for this role.
  • On joining Making Space, you will receive on-the-job training with opportunities to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
  • Evidence of values alignment with Making Space is welcomed.
  • Successful applicants will be subject to employment checks, including DBS and references checks, and safeguarding training.
