In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll shape and deliver the Health, Safety and Sustainability strategy across multiple logistics sites — championing a culture where people and the planet are always front of mind.
✨ The Role
As part of the Leadership Team, you’ll:
- Develop and implement robust health, safety and sustainability policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and champion industry best practice.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety and sustainability performance.
- Design and lead training and engagement programmes that embed a strong safety culture at every level.
- Use technology to deliver real-time KPIs and sustainability metrics.
- Collaborate with procurement, fleet, warehousing and HR to promote safe, sustainable operations.
- Monitor environmental impacts, support the carbon reduction roadmap and expand the social responsibility agenda.
- Lead and inspire a team of Safety Managers, setting the standard through visible, hands-on leadership.
✅ About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) — CMIOSH or working toward it is a big plus.
- Proven experience in a senior health & safety role within logistics, transport or supply chain.
- Solid knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and sustainability reporting.
- Strong ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on people, planet and performance.
