Job Description

Jo Holdsworth Recruitment are on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our clients growing team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys staying organised, solving problems and building strong supplier relationships. If you thrive in a busy, friendly environment where every day brings something new, we’d love to hear from you!

The role is a part time FTC. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years admin experience and will be able to confidentiality communicate on the phone. Purchasing administration experience is desired but not essential.

The role

  • Liaise with suppliers, solving problems, and making sure the right materials arrive at the right time.
  • Communicating and liaising with internal teams on product updates
  • Work with suppliers to manage deliveries and resolve delays
  • Source urgent or concession stock and investigate quality issues
  • Join weekly quality meetings and help resolve invoice queries
  • Create supplier forecasts and track stock levels
  • Request quotes, manage sample orders, and keep our SAGE system accurate
  • Support regulatory processes and material approvals

The ideal candidate

  • 2+ years in an administrative role (purchasing experience is preferred but not essential)
  • Organised, detail-driven, and great at multitasking
  • A confident communicator who builds relationships with ease
  • Someone who enjoys administration but is happy to pick up the phone to customers
  • Ready to learn and grow—especially about our business and industry

The role is a 12-month maternity contract to start mid-August. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years administration experience and be confident on the phone.

Hours: Part time, Fixed Term Contract – 28 hours per week – core hours ideally 9am – 3pm but there is some level of flexibility.

Salary: £28,000 pro rata
