About the Opportunity:

The role of Assistant Lecturer in Psychology will be reporting into one of our Psychology Lecturers. You will be under the supervision of an experienced Academic, and will:

  • Contribute to teaching at different levels and provide academic support to individual students and student groups.
  • Contribute to the assessment process for one or more modules at different levels, including providing formative feedback, marking and moderation, and creating assessments.
  • Undertaking administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities, which will include creating teaching resources and materials, and analysing student feedback.

**You will be required to work on campus 4 days a week to meet the student timetable.

About You:

To be successful as an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology you must have:

  • A BPS accredited degree or higher in Psychology.
  • Excellent breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in Psychology.
  • The ability to effectively communicate material of a specialist or technical nature relevant to Psychology.
  • The ability to contribute to programme enhancement.
  • Confidence in using e-learning technologies and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Some experience in teaching or providing academic support is preferred.
  • We especially encourage applications from those with subject specialisms in mental health, counselling, forensic psychology, qualitative research methods, or cyberpsychology
