Overview
Transport Support Assistant – Day Shift – Plymouth
£12.89 – £16.77 hourly rate plus great benefits (£12.89/hr base rate plus £1.94/hr back shift allowance and £1.94/hr weekend shift allowance)
Shift ranging (6am – 4pm), 5 over 7 days – including weekends (rota provided in advance)

We’re looking for a transport support assistant to join our team in the Plymouth depot.
Working in a close-knit team, you’ll help support and make sure that our deliveries to stores run perfectly, so our customers and members can always get their hands on the products they love most. What you’ll do
- organise and produce paperwork, including collection information, delivery notes and store information
- confirm dispatch routes, making sure drivers can easily navigate their way to stores
- arrange driver cover for absences
- double check roadwork issues that could prevent delivery
- co-ordinate vehicles so that they’re assigned a docking station and stock can be loaded on time
- hand over cab keys and paperwork to docking base staff
- responsible for compliance including licence check and agency worker regulations
This role would suit someone who has
- strong administration skills
- experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc)
- great organisation skills
- attention to detail and can easily spot gaps, errors and mistakes
- a clear passion for work and a keen eye for continuous improvement
- experience from a logistics background, but this isn’t essential
