Responsibilities
Make an impact
Autostore Technician, working on site at our flagship ASDA distribution centre in Lutterworth, will be responsible for the technical support of the Automated Materials Handling Equipment. The role involves working rotating 12-hour days and nights. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus statutory, a company contributory pension scheme, and private healthcare.
- Manage technical training and support for specified AMHE areas, with a focus on Autostore, including availability, throughput, preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, condition-based monitoring, and identifying areas for improvement in customer service and KPIs.
- Coordinate and deliver specialist product training on Autostore and other systems. Responsible for creating training materials and fostering a ‘best practice’ working environment.
- Manage individuals and projects, with some hands-on involvement to assist in implementing actions.
- Deliver training to the ESO and Engineering teams, ensuring adherence to ‘best practice’ standards.
- Produce relevant documentation such as risk assessments and method statements for ESO and Engineering teams.
- Liaise with Line Managers and Deputy Managers to communicate best practice solutions and ensure follow-up and validation of implemented actions.
Application Requirements
What you need to succeed
- At least five years’ experience in automation.
- Product-related experience with Autostore & IDC.
- Experience with Windows Server OS.
- Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
- Strong knowledge of PLC equipment & related software.
- Experience in team development.
- Health and Safety certification, IBOSH minimum.
- Experience in producing risk assessments and safe-working procedures.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with KPI SLA target responsibilities.
- Proficiency in PC literacy.
