Class 1 Driver – Nights and Weekends
Due to busy demands, our well‑known Nationwide Distribution client is looking for Class 1 Drivers for trunking at their busy depot, with immediate start.
Working hours: Afternoon and nights, weekends available. 9‑to‑14‑hour shifts – minimum 8‑hour guarantee per shift.
Subsidised canteen available on site.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Complete collection and delivery of goods whilst following company procedures (NO HAND BALLING, NO MULTI‑DROP).
- Ensure goods are safely secured and paperwork is in order.
- Follow company security procedures.
- Keep vehicle clean at all times.
- Undertake additional duties or assist other members of staff as reasonably requested by your manager or directors.
Knowledge / Understanding Required
- Full UK C+E driving licence (minimum 12 months held).
- Smart appearance.
- Good knowledge of the English language; CPC, digital tachocard, IT knowledge/understanding required.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding to the job.
- Effective communication with the client and other members of staff in operations and warehouse departments.
Pay Rates
- Mon‑Fri: £19.15 per hour
- Mon‑Fri O/T (after 8 hours): £25.25 per hour
- Sat: £23.52 per hour
- Sat O/T (after 8 hours): £25.25 per hour
- Sun: £27.25 per hour
- Holiday paid on top weekly – all rates increase after 12 weeks of service.
