About The Role

Legal Assistant
We are currently looking for a proactive professional with an interest in the legal sector to fill a crucial support role within our Residential Property team. The team is fast-growing, highly collaborative, and offers vast opportunities for career advancement.
Based in Cambridge and reporting to our Legal Support Manager, the Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive business support to fee earners, including:
  • Drafting and formatting letters, documents, and forms such as sale contracts and exchange and completion letters.
  • Conducting searches (Local Authority, Land Registry, Insolvency, Compliance Regulation).
  • Being the first point of contact for administrative and business support needs for fee earners, anticipating team requirements where possible.
  • Supporting the file opening process for the team.
  • Assisting with financial transactions and new matter quotes as needed.
  • Filtering client and agent queries, often being the first contact for clients.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confident typing skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a client-facing environment is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment is desirable.
  • Experience with case management systems is preferable but not essential.
