Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Hoddesdon on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary: £29,357 per annum.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.

The purpose of a Transport Administrator is to provide administrative support and create accurate data, work to deadlines, and contribute to the overall success of the site.

Key Duties of a Transport Administrator

  • Contribute to the success of the site by ensuring all POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with site policy documents.
  • Book collections for customers and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Book deliveries for customers.
  • Investigate any collection queries.
  • Ensure all paperwork is returned for customer deliveries dispatched from the site, and chase outstanding PODs.
  • Liaise with staff at other depots and external contacts.
  • Photocopying, printing, organizing, and storing documents and computer-based information.
  • Manage inbound diary for all customers.
  • Monitor daily the clean POD workflow.
  • Control period-end spreadsheets.
  • Compile lists of outstanding PODs and contact hauliers to request them.
  • Report outstanding PODs daily.

Qualifications

  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent).
  • Ideally, experience in a similar role and a sound knowledge of Transport and Logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurized environment.
