Role: Senior Estimator Location: Bank, London Salary: Β£65,000 – Β£80,000 Benefits A leading civil engineering contractor in London is looking for a Senior Estimator with a strong background in heavy civil infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-value bids across major projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other large-scale schemes. Key Responsibilities: Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex civil engineering projects. Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare competitive bids. Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to source technical and pricing information. Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities, providing insight to senior leadership. Ensure all estimates align with client expectations, industry regulations, and company procedures. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the estimating team. Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy civil estimating role, ideally on large infrastructure projects. Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current market pricing. Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite. Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
