Overview

The Titanic Hotel Belfast, part of the Harcourt Collection, is recruiting a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a proactive team leader that thrives in driving revenue and is passionate about the hospitality industry.

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for maximising sales, driving the hotel brand, and overseeing the day-to-day running of the Sales and Marketing function of the hotel. This includes managing the sales, marketing, events, and revenue teams, harmonising the culture and brand, continuously driving standards, guest experience and revenue of Titanic Hotel Belfast.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks

  • Working with the General Manager, Revenue Manager, Group Marketing Manager and Group Director of Sales and Marketing to deliver strategic business plans, including an annual sales and marketing plan aligned with hotel objectives and budget
  • Manage the Revenue, Sales, Marketing and Events teams, driving individual development, achieving KPIs, team goals and revenue targets, and establishing a positive and cohesive team culture
  • Drive revenue across all segments, achieving revenue targets; identify new business, secure groups, contract transient accounts, and develop established key accounts
  • Attend and manage the sales and marketing team’s attendance at tradeshows, industry events, host FAM and press trips, and arrange client hotel events; some international travel may be required
  • Manage sales and marketing expenses and forecasts in line with hotel expectations
  • Work closely with the GDOSM and the Sales and Marketing Executive to ensure key campaigns, brand, advertising and marketing strategies are adhered to, including reputation management online
  • Complete monthly, weekly, and annual reporting as required
  • Collaborate with Revenue Manager and General Manager to create up-to-date forecasts throughout the year
  • Stay up to date with market trends, competitors, tourism body initiatives and relationships; review and amend strategies accordingly
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes
  • Direct, lead, train, motivate and develop the team; foster a cooperative and competitive team spirit
  • Experience working with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams in collaboration
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both orally and in writing
  • Solid understanding of marketing tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines, be proactive and flexible when required
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-prioritise
  • Guest-centric mindset with understanding of internal and external customer needs
  • Familiarise with our Core Values TITANIC and expected behaviours
  • Thorough knowledge of and adherence to relevant regulations including: Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid procedures; willingness to undertake special duties outside routine as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Manager
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Valid driving licence

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree level education
  • Any combination of education in hospitality management, business, sales, revenue, and/or marketing
