Job Description:

LOCATION: Remote, with flexible working options and the possibility of hybrid working from Chatham/London.

Velonetic, a joint venture between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London, has been operating for over 20 years in the London market, handling insurance and reinsurance business. We process over £101 billion in premiums and claims transactions and are developing a new digital platform to enhance transaction speed and efficiency. Our core services include checking insurance documents, processing premium transactions, and claims processing.

Applicants must reside in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an individual eager to develop their understanding of insurance. This role is ideal for those starting their insurance career.

The Associate Claims Examiner will work as part of a team under a Team Manager, performing technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with market SLAs regarding turnaround and quality. Training will be provided on insurance documentation and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical checks on insurance documents, identifying discrepancies or errors using IT systems with supervision as needed.
  • Communicate with customers and brokers to resolve queries related to the work processed.
  • Manage own workload efficiently.
  • Input data into databases to initiate settlements and updates.
  • Generate accurate reports related to processed work.
  • Participate in innovation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Review and validate insurance documentation.
