The Topcon Positioning Group is one of the world\’s leading manufacturers of system solutions for precise positioning for surveying, construction planning and execution, agriculture, building information modelling (BIM), cartography and construction machine control.

Topcon Positioning Great Britain Ltd., based in Tamworth, is responsible for the sales, marketing, and customer service of its positioning products sold in the UK.

We are looking for a full-time Field Service Technician (m/f/d) based in the UK to start as soon as possible and offer an interesting and varied job in a well-functioning team.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Preparation and execution of construction Machine Control installations and interventions at the customers office or on the construction site.
  • Pre- and post-sales support for customers, sales partners and Topcon employees both remote and on-site.
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert for colleagues and dealers.
  • Carrying out training courses and briefings for end users, dealers and Topcon employees.
  • Work with professional CRM system.
  • Area of operation: Great Britain

Required experience, skills and knowledge

  • Previous experience as an Installation Engineer within the construction sector preferred but would consider a plant/vehicle fitter with suitable mechanical and electrical installation experience.
  • B Driving License.
  • Language level English: B2 or higher.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Efficient communication both verbal and written.
  • Preferential qualifications: Technical knowledge of construction site processes and machines; technical knowledge of earthmoving and/or Civil Engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
