Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting various specimens for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, or physical sciences from an accredited institution, with completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U.S. Department of Education or accredited by NAACLS, or equivalent.
- OR an Associate’s Degree in clinical laboratory science or biological, chemical, or physical sciences from an accredited institution, with completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U.S. Department of Education or accredited by NAACLS, or equivalent.
Certification:
- Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for medical laboratory scientist (e.g., ASCP) or medical laboratory technician within 6 months of employment.
