Job Description
Under the general direction of the Sanitation Operations Supervisor or designee, assists in the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste. Responsibilities include emptying containers and polycarts manually or using lifting mechanisms. May require working early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license.
- Must be insurable by the City’s vehicle insurance provider. Within the last five years, must not have had DWI/DUI, careless or reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or driving on a suspended or revoked license violations.
Benefits include affordable health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance (City covers 100% of basic life, 75% of health and dental insurance); PERA retirement (City pays 75% of contributions); 13 paid holidays per year, plus annual and sick leave accruals!
