Overview
Shift Pattern: you will work a rotating schedule of 4 days on followed by 4 days off, with each working shift lasting 12 hours. After completing 7 full rotations, you will receive an extended 18-day break for rest and recovery. You will be part of the frontline operations team in the Kent area and the business simply cannot operate without you. Every day is different, you will be working in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks to ensure the essential functions of our wastewater treatment works and wastewater pumping stations operate to maintain the supply to our customers and protect the environment. You will manage your own time, giving you freedom and flexibility to design your own working week, and you will learn how to be organised and proactive. Responsibilities
- Compliance testing.
- Maintenance tasks – unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Repair of alarms systems.
- Monitoring, collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Fault finding and problem-solving skills are essential to respond to breakdowns.
- Site Hygiene in line with our regulatory obligations.
- Using IT systems to accurately log maintenance tasks and field activities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards.
- Comfortable working outdoors, potentially in all weather conditions.
