Job Overview
Band 5 Occupational Therapist role at HCRG Care Group. Based at Sheppey Community Hospital, you’ll be part of our Rapid Response and Intermediate Care Team, supporting community and in-patient rehabilitation.
The service operates 7 days a week, 8am–8pm, so weekend and bank holiday working is required.
Responsibilities
- Undertake 6-month rotations into Intermediate Care, Rapid Response and the In-patient Rehabilitation Unit
- Complete holistic initial assessments with patients
- Devise treatment plans in line with patient goals
- Liaise with family members/relatives and carers
- Implement and deliver treatment interventions
- Complete follow-up review visits with patients
- Delegate to support worker colleagues
- Attend and participate in clinical meetings, team meetings and in-service training
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC (Occupational Therapist) registration
- Full driving licence with access to a car
- Motivating, innovative and adaptable, with the ability to work flexibly across specialities as needs arise
- Strong communication and organisational skills; a flexible approach to ensure positive experiences for patients
- Willingness to participate in the preceptorship scheme if you are a final-year student
- Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
