Overview
Process Technician role at South East Water UK. You’ll operate and maintain our production sites, reservoirs and pumping stations to keep the water flowing for millions of customers, using your skills, attention to detail and dependable approach.
Main responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, control, check and maintain water treatment processes at water production sites to ensure reliable and efficient operation of production works and associated sites
- Control and monitor correct use of chemicals within the treatment processes, including receipt and delivery
- Assist other Production team members with Confined Space Entry where three or more people are required
- Liaise, supervise and work with contractors while they undertake works on sites
- Complete all necessary administration associated with reactive and planned maintenance work
- Carry out general site duties, ensuring sites are clean and tidy
- Monitor and maintain security of production sites
- Issue Permits to Work where required
- Assist with capital works as and when required
- Adhere to Health & Safety legislation, company policies and Production SOPs
- Take part in a standby rota to provide out-of-hours support to the operational area
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- Experience of working in process operations
- Medically able to work in confined spaces
- A valid, clean driving licence
- Confident using IT and computers
- Good attention to detail
Bonus experience
- Experience in water treatment processes
- Water industry recognised qualifications
