Overview
Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. You will make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, working with a diverse group of people and providing emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities and provide personal care.
- Help some people with mobility and other support needs.
- Build meaningful relationships and offer emotional support.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- Drivers preferred for this role.
Contract and Pay
Part‑time: 20‑30 hours per week. All services are 24hr care. Rotas are prepared at least four weeks in advance to allow personal planning. Shifts include weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑ins. Enhanced flat‑rate payment of £63.70 for sleep‑ins.
