We are seeking a Telematics Project Engineers and Project Managers, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The successful Engineers and Project Managers will be responsible for the implementation of on-board Telematics systems, whilst collaborating with connected car design and test teams.
Responsibilities of the Telematics positions will include some of the following:
• Generation and release of TCU configuration data
• Managing suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery targets
• Coordination of in house and supplier TCU validation
• Project manage on board and off board connected car and infotainment teams
• Collaboration with Telematics Service Providers, ensuring their development schedules are aligned
Background and experience required for the Telematics Engineer position:
• You will ideally be degree educated
• Experience of Telematics hardware, systems and knowledge of vehicle connectivity.
• Understanding of mobile network infrastructure and data transfer
Knowledge of 5G technologies, non-European mobile networks, MQTT, End to End System architecture and an understanding in European Ecall regulations is desirable.
To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work within the UK.
