Position

Baxter Thetford is looking for a candidate to work in the QC Microbiology Team. You will be responsible for supporting the microbial and environmental monitoring testing required during various stages of the manufacturing of products at Thetford.

Shift Schedule

You will work rotating shifts, week 1: 9 AM – 5 PM, week 2: 5 AM – 1 PM, and will be eligible for overtime at premium rates of pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting with testing on various process samples
• Participating in any required laboratory investigations as required
• Following Good Quality Control Laboratory Practices at all times and ensuring the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state.
• Providing support to the supervisor in any reasonable request relating to laboratory operation

Qualifications

• Science-based degree (preferably in Microbiology / Biological Sciences)
• Experience working in a laboratory (not essential for this support role)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
