Grafton Banks Finance are currently working with a commercial company with offices in Brighton, East Sussex to recruit a Payroll Specialist on a full time permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Payroll and working in a finance team, you will be responsible for managing the day to day weekly and monthly payroll for up to 2000 employees. This job opportunity is office based Working Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for: To ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time each month. Ensure all procedural checks have been carried out satisfactorily, both prior and following payroll calculation run ensuring any errors are rectified and necessary correction made prior to BACS payment. Manage the Company, Pensioners and 3rd party payrolls, providing accurate and timely payments of all payrolls in accordance with current legislation and with appropriate controls in place. Administer SMP, SPP, SAP and all statutory payment salary deductions in line with legal and regulatory requirements and provide management information as required Manage the year-end procedure, including balancing the PAYE payments, submitting magnetic media and relevant HMRC forms and produce annual returns and statistics for Government bodies.
