Radio Technician – Central Scotland
Embark on an exhilarating journey alongside our dedicated multiskilled Radio and TV Broadcast Engineering Team, where no day is the same! Your mission? Fault-finding mastery, meticulous maintenance, and unwavering support. Contribute to the vital importance of DAB, FM/AM Radio, and Freeview Television, ensuring seamless operations of these systems.
Location: Travel required around Central Scotland
Total Package:
- Up to £34,000 base salary
- 5% Shift Allowance
- Paid Overtime
- Company vehicle
- 5% pension contribution

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to faults promptly and complete corrective maintenance on RF system networks to meet SLAs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance following standards and policies.
- Support upgrades and modifications to systems and networks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Conduct testing and measurements to ensure compliance.
- Engage with internal and external customers, building positive relationships.
- Supervise contractors, monitoring safety practices.
- Participate in 24/7 callout response as scheduled.
- Work safely, complying with health and safety legislation.
- Work flexibly, independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to climb structures up to 60 meters.
- Proactive, adaptable, and engaged with company culture.
- Complete all learning and development commitments.
Required Experience:
- Clean driving license
- Experience with maintenance processes, standards, and practices
- Basic networking knowledge
- Fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of RF systems, Digital TV, Radio, DAB, Microwave, Satellite, Data Networks, Telecoms
- Basic RF principles
- Knowledge of power supplies, environmental controls, telemetry, electronics
- Understanding of health & safety legislation
- Willing to work away from home as needed
- Ability to develop new technologies and equipment
