Your New Role
Are you a degree-qualified Engineer with a passion for testing, analysis, and cutting-edge product development? Join our RFD Beaufort division where we innovate with purpose – delivering performance and safety in the world’s most critical moments.
As part of our Mechanical Analysis & Product Qualification team, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping, validating, and qualifying next-generation technologies. From theoretical analysis to hands-on testing, your work will ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive qualification programmes based on internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Create, organise, and lead test plans, including hands-on execution and reporting. (There’s even the opportunity to volunteer as a test subject—safely, of course!)
- Conduct theoretical analysis using manual calculations and engineering software to support qualification evidence.
- Contribute to design, including BOM management and drawing generation/checking.
- Identify and drive improvements in engineering processes, tools, and documentation to enhance repeatability and efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams, offering support on knowledge systems and contributing to an inclusive and safety-first culture.
- Stay ahead of the curve with continuous learning, including formal training and keeping current on technology, regulation, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles—confident in checking your own work and supporting others.
- Experience in product qualification, including planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Proficiency at generating engineering drawings for design and modifications (AutoCAD and SolidWorks).
- Strong communication skills tailored to various audiences.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
- A proactive, improvement-focused approach to engineering processes.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver on commitments in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and qualifications
·University degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, preferably to Masters level
·2-5 years of engineering industry experience
