Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the workplace, equipment, vehicles and machinery are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Complete shift reports detailing production and downtime, including any specific data required for the shift. Liaise with the Shift Supervisor and Day Support regarding the operations of the shift.
  • Observe and comply with all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures and ensure that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.
  • Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/accidents and hazards are duly reported.
  • Liaise with the shift supervisor and relevant engineering department regarding the condition of production equipment or problems.
  • Provide support for holiday, sickness, training and maintenance cover.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices, with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality are consistently met.
  • Team‑oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to shared goals.
  • Performance‑driven, with a focus on reliability, meeting deadlines, and achieving production targets.
  • Basic IT proficiency preferred, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including both days and nights.
