What is the role?
We are recruiting for a Technical Co-ordinator to work in our busy Technical Department. You will be an integral part of the team overseeing external Design and Engineering Consultants involved in project management and administration of technical and design matters for various residential projects.
This role supports multiple housing developments through delivering cost-effective engineering solutions and providing services to other departments. The successful candidate must be adaptable, with a strong management approach to external consultants.
The Role Will Include
- Assist in producing layouts and technical reports for Land Appraisals; understanding working drawings.
- Brief and commission site investigations, topographical surveys, and assessment reports on land acquired.
- Brief engineering and architectural consultants on scope of design, including roads, sewers, private drainage, retaining walls, foundation designs, and other substructures.
- Negotiate/enquire with statutory bodies and utility companies on environmental, drainage, highways, and engineering issues during land appraisal.
- Distribute engineering information to Commercial, Construction, and Sales departments.
- Negotiate fees and appoint consultants.
- Respond to technical queries.
- Comply with the Group\βs Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
What we need from you?
- Technical experience with understanding of current building regulations, CDM, EA/Water Authority/Highway regulations, and adoption agreements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- An enthusiastic, hardworking individual willing to undertake training, work independently, and fit within the team.
