We are partnering with a leading fashion supplier with a global presence who are seeking a Junior Menswear Designer to join their dynamic and creative team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and trend-savvy individual with a passion for menswear to work across multiproduct categories including woven and jersey for major UK and European retailers.
As a Junior Designer, you will support the Senior Design team in creating fashion-forward, commercially viable collections. This is an excellent opportunity for career development within a creative and supportive team, offering hybrid working and great company benefits.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Support the design team in developing innovative, trend-led woven and jersey designs across menswear
- Assist in conducting trend research and mood board creation, focusing on fabric, colour, and silhouette direction
- Create detailed CADs, technical drawings and design packs for development and presentation
- Help source fabrics, trims, and new techniques in line with current trends and customer needs
- Participate in design presentations and range building with internal teams and customers
- Liaise with the production and technical teams to ensure smooth design execution and sample development
- Maintain awareness of market trends, key competitors and consumer preferences
- Travel to customer meetings and industry events, as needed, to support the design process
Person Specification:
- Previous industry experience within menswear design at a retailer or supplier
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; confident with CAD and tech packs
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics and print techniques
- Strong sense of style, colour, and commercial awareness
- A collaborative team player with good communication and time management skills
- Proactive, organised, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
