FLOWERBX is set to open a floral shop in a newly established luxury 5* hotel in Mayfair, and we are seeking dependable and skilled florists to become part of our freelance team. If you are enthusiastic about developing your floristry and event skills in a high-end retail environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting hotel guests and walk in customers, to ensure they receive the highest level of customer service
  • Preparation of flowers, creating beautiful hand-tied bouquets and vase arrangements
  • Assisting the floral team with event installations
  • Ensuring the shop area is clean and tidy at all times
  • Taking customer payments using the POS system
  • Completing checks relating to flowers, vases and accessories, to ensure adequate quality and levels of stock are maintained throughout the building
  • Complying with the aesthetic and branding standards of FLOWERBX
  • Assisting with other ad hoc duties, as required

Requirements

We require passionate individuals who go above and beyond in delivering outstanding customer service and floral beauty.

Necessary Skills:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in floristry, preferably in a retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of plant and floral maintenance in retail and hospitality settings
  • Knowledge of flower seasonality and sustainable practices
  • Emphasis on meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that flowers always appear fresh and well-cared-for
  • Professional appearance with excellent communication abilities
  • Capacity to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, fostering relationships with stakeholders
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism

Physical demands for this role include:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual lifting and carrying tasks
  • Manual dexterity for handling small flowers and delicate materials

Benefits

At FLOWERBX, we uphold robust recruitment procedures to ensure our teams meet the highest standards. Candidates advancing in the selection process will initially engage in a screening call with our HR Manager, followed by an in-person interview and a floristry assessment.

Hourly rate: £20

The store will operate seven days a week from 7 AM to 8 PM, and we are seeking candidates who are interested in working regular 8-hour shifts.
