Position Title: Install Helper (Residential/Light Commercial)
Reports To: General Manager or Lead Installer
Status: Full-time, Regular position
Location: Midland Air Service Center

Position Summary
Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in the installation of residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment and accessories. Work is performed under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Works under direct supervision of the Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s home
- Assists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications
- Assists in the installation of ducts and duct fittings
- Performs duties to deliver excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation work
- Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are used, maintained, and accounted for
- As needed, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner
- Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters
- Maintains installation vehicle cleanliness and presentation in line with the company’s professional image
- Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned
Health & Safety Roles and Responsibilities
- Reports unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to the supervisor immediately
- Reports contraventions of legislation or company policy to the supervisor immediately
- Uses and maintains appropriate PPE as prescribed
- Never removes safety guards or clothing prescribed to be in place
- Complies with general company rules and procedures
- Operates devices or equipment as prescribed by procedures
- Participates in safety initiatives or committees as applicable
- Reports injuries or incidents immediately
- Contributes to safety initiatives to reduce exposure to hazards
- Works in compliance with applicable requirements
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 0–2 years’ HVAC experience and technical training preferred
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local laws for the area
- EPA and safety certifications required
- Fundamental knowledge of HVAC systems and related accessories
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate or learn to operate necessary tools and equipment
- Effective communication skills for customer service
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Flexible hours and on-call availability as needed
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders/attics, and access various spaces
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds
