Think Recruitment are currently working with a leading engineering consultancy who, due to increased workload and the opening of a new office in Nottingham, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal level Engineer to join the Power Civils team. Our client are involved in a variety of large infrastructure projects across the UK and are looking for an experienced Civil or Strutural Engineer to join them, working closely with other disciplines on various new-build substations, substation upgrades/extensions and other electrical infrastructure, e.g. onshore wind farms and solar farms. Outline requirements for the role include: HND or degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering. Ideally IEng or CEng with membership of relevant professional engineering institution, e.g. ICE, IStructE. Minimum 5 years civil/structural design experience on substation projects Experience of working within Electrical Transmission and Distribution sectors. Good understanding of CDM requirements. Good understanding of UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation and requirements. Good knowledge of National Grid\’s Transmission Procedures, in particular: TP106, TP135, TP137, TP141, TP153, TP184, TP188, TP219, TP221, TP235, TP241.
