A multi-disciplinary railway turnkey business, capable of undertaking a wide variety of rail projects, from solution recommendations to complete design and construction is looking to hire a HSQE Advisor to join their team covering sites in the South East
Requirements for the Health & Safety Advisor
– NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
– Site background
– Experience in Railway construction Industry
– Strong understanding of Network Rail process and procedures
– Accident & Investigation experience
– PTS
– A sound knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
– CDM Risk Knowledge
– Ability to adapt ideas and approaches to suit changing priorities or solutions
– Well organised, diplomatic, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined
Desirable
– NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level H&S qualification
– Auditor qualifications
– IEMA/CQI membership
– CSCS
Main Duties for the Health & Safety Advisor
– Provide Health & Safety support to Rail Sector projects
– Assist in the development of Health & Safety related documentation including CPP, WPP, TBS, RAMS
– Promoting the awareness of Health & Safety issues and activities across the projects
– Receive, review and disseminate Health & Safety information
– Organisation of investigations into incidents and accidents, reporting of conclusions and implement
corrective actions as necessary
– Maintain liaison with Trackwork Clients, Network Rail, Enforcement Agencies and Third Parties on Health & Safety
issues
– Support the Head of Health & Safety in developing Health & Safety Strategies and maintaining third party accreditations
– Take stewardship of the internal and external audit program and support area offices in respect to third party audits
