We are looking for a junior claims professional to join AIG’s Financial Lines claims team and handle Excess layer claims across multiple lines including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Employment Practice Liability and Financial Institutions policies.

You will act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems. You will be capable of driving continual improvement and impacting the way that claims are handled. Because of your newly developed skills, you will be able to deliver meaningful outcomes for our internal and external clients and/or stakeholders.

  • You will learn the end to end process of Financial Lines claims handling.
  • Become converse and comply with the Financial Lines Claims Guidelines
  • Support the Financial Lines claims team with claims administration and providing our clients with a first class service.
  • You will obtain a high level of knowledge in Financial Lines claims handling both from a technical and legal perspective.
  • Build a close relationship with the underwriting team and other internal / external stakeholders.
  • Working with the team you will, over time, learn the claims handling / adjusting function, with the opportunity to become a complex claims adjuster.
  • You will liaise and work with AIG claims vendors and service providers
  • You will handle claims enquires; coverage determination (under supervision), quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, as appropriate within authority limits and providing a consistently strong standard of customer service.
  • Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processes.
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required.
