About the role:
Enhance existing and develop new UK Mail postal services, including integrating with the DHL and Deutsche Post international networks.
- Specify and deliver business objectives in new product and IT developments within the UK Mail business area, covering operational, sales and back-office projects.
- Develop the supporting sales and business tools to enable the effective selling, management and reporting of these services within UK Mail and DHL. Work closely with the Managing Director Mail, National Sales Director and network operations to understand the business objectives and requirements both from an IT and process perspective.
- Work closely with IT Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure development requirements are carried through into project plans and provide appropriate support and clarification throughout the projects to ensure they are implemented.
- Lead and project manage business process change associated with these new products and/or developments
- Manage the day-to-day supplier relationships with all of UK Mail’s international mail providers.
- Represent UK Mail at industry and regulatory forums
- Provide domestic mail, international mail and packet service expert support to Sales, Operations, IT Transformation projects
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience of working in a corporate environment with responsibility for achieving key objectives on their own initiative.
- Prior product management experience
- Mail, packet and/or parcel experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- IT literate with a sound knowledge of business systems and sales reporting packages.
- Proven track record in development and implementation of new business and operational processes
- Demonstrable experience of project management and successful project implementation.
- Ability to evidence commercial experience in a competitive marketplace.
