Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint enthusiastic individuals on a whole-time basis as LAS Specialty Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry, beginning September 2025 until September 2026. The successful candidate will be based at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and at Wheata Place Clinic. The post does not award a National Training Number.
As this post is not recognised as a \’training post\’, full registration with the GDC with a licence to practise is required.
Main duties of the job
The Department provides the full range of Paediatric Dentistry care as a major secondary and tertiary referral centre. This includes treatment of special needs children, anxious patients, and complex dental care for children and adolescents. Joint Clinics are held with Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and as part of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team. Facilities exist for the provision of treatment under sedation and at the Children\’s hospital comprehensive dental care under GA and exodontia.
There are close links with all Paediatric Medical and Surgical specialties based at Sheffield Children\’s Hospitals

- Completed Dental Core Training Year 2-Evidence by time of post commencement of satisfactory RCP outcome or programme completion/certification of UK DCT2/3 post which commenced on or after August 2024 or National Certificate of Dental Core Equivalence (NCDCE) at time of application
