Roles and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Senior Footwear Product Developer.
- Support the Design Team in developing seasonal collections, collaborations, and special make-ups (SMUs).
- Maintain and update the product critical path, from prototype samples to salesman samples/Gold Seal and Preproduction, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Create and maintain accurate product specifications for seasonal collections, SMUs, and collaborations, ensuring they are up-to-date prior to production.
- Organize and manage footwear samples, maintaining an efficient sample system at both the office and Southend locations.
- Oversee the post-sampling process, including trims, color development, and supplier deliveries, while maintaining an accessible filing system for the entire team.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers on a daily basis, analyzing processes and delivery timelines, and summarizing critical path updates and pending tasks for internal teams.
- Collaborate with the design team to engineer products that meet margin targets, factoring in construction and sourcing considerations.
- Assist the design team in developing products for testing to meet relevant standards, providing technical expertise, and negotiating any necessary design adjustments to ensure the vision is maintained.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks and challenges at all stages, working with cross-functional partners to find solutions.
- Provide general support to the team with day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for product queries from marketing, sales, customer service, and operations teams.
- Travel to supplier locations as needed.
