Company Overview:

Quantum Medix is a newly formed healthcare consortium focused on acquiring and integrating dental and aesthetic clinics across the UK and Ireland. Our mission is to build a robust network of providers to enhance patient care and streamline services. As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced dental industry professional to join our Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director (NED).

This is a strategic leadership role for an individual with deep expertise in the dental sector, particularly someone who has successfully operated or overseen dental businesses, and has a thorough understanding of back-office systems, NHS contracting, and day-to-day operational efficiency.

Role Overview:

The Non-Executive Director (Dental Expert) will play a critical role in providing strategic guidance and industry-specific insights to the board. They will leverage their operational and business management experience in the dental sector to support Quantum Medix in building an efficient, scalable, and patient-centered network of clinics.

This role will focus on advising the company on best practices for running a dental business, optimizing back-office operations, ensuring NHS contracting compliance, and aligning day-to-day operations with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Advisory:
• Provide expert guidance on the acquisition, integration, and operational management of dental practices across the UK and Ireland.
• Operational Insights:
• Share best practices for efficient day-to-day management of dental businesses, from back-office systems (e.g., scheduling, billing, compliance) to patient care processes.
• NHS Contracting Expertise:
• Advise on NHS contracting requirements, compliance, and strategies for maximizing NHS revenue streams.
• Business Growth and Integration:
• Support the integration of acquired practices into the Quantum Medix network, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to patient care.
• Governance and Compliance:
• Contribute to the development of corporate governance frameworks, focusing on regulatory compliance specific to dental and healthcare sectors.
• Financial Efficiency:
• Provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement in dental operations, including leveraging economies of scale in supplies, staffing, and services.
• Leadership and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with the executive team and other board members to align operational strategies with the company’s vision and long-term objectives.
• Network Building:
• Leverage professional networks within the dental industry to identify growth opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing or owning multiple dental businesses, or a senior leadership role in a dental conglomerate.
• Deep understanding of the dental sector, including NHS contracting, compliance, and patient care standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in operational efficiency, including managing back-office systems and streamlining day-to-day operations.
• Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and integrating dental practices into a larger network is highly desirable.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to provide strategic insights and contribute to board-level decision-making.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and governance frameworks in the UK and Ireland.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and provide objective counsel.
• High level of integrity and commitment to upholding fiduciary duties as a board member.

Compensation:

Additional Information:

• The NED (Dental Expert) is expected to actively participate in quarterly board meetings and strategic planning sessions.
• The role requires flexibility to engage with operational teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Must be active and responsive as the role will require you to weigh-in on documentation and business plan from day 1.
