Job Title: Microsoft VDI Architect / SME
Job Location & Working Model: Dublin, Ireland (4 days office)
Role Description:
We are looking for a Virtualization Architect with expertise in Citrix, AVD, W365, and Dev Box to provide deep technical leadership in designing, deploying, and supporting secure and scalable virtual desktop solutions for our client. This role will directly contribute to shaping the future of the customer\’s virtualization infrastructure, providing access to cutting-edge Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement AVD, W365, and Dev Box solutions
  • Optimize environments and recommend best security practices
  • Configure FSLogix for user profile management
  • Develop and implement automation for scaling and image updates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AVD-related issues
  • Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to support teams
  • Collaborate with the Customer Architecture Team
  • Draft High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents
  • Support solution handover to operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the virtual desktop environment
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
  • 10 12 years of hands-on experience with VDI technologies: AVD, Citrix, W365, Dev Box
  • 5+ years consulting, designing, and implementing AVD, W365, and Dev Box solutions
  • Experience building Production and DR environments for VDI
  • Deployment and configuration of FSLogix
  • Familiarity with MSIX App Attach and 3rd-party application packaging tools
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Nerdio, Hydra, Liquit, Lakeside Systrack
  • Automation knowledge with DevOps, Terraform, Bicep
  • Host pool optimization and security configuration
  • Deep expertise in Azure services, including AAD, RBAC, Storage, Azure Firewall, Azure File Share, and AVD-specific features
  • Experience coordinating with Microsoft on critical technical issues
  • Strong skills in Group Policy, Active Directory, and Windows Registry
  • Proficiency in scripting, automation, and performance diagnostics
  • Experience deploying MS Dev Box and integrating with GitHub
  • Working knowledge of Windows365 operations and deployments
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune Endpoint Manager and Windows OS (Client & Server)
  • Good understanding of Intune compliance/configuration policies, Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel, Conditional Access, and other Microsoft security solutions
  • Certifications such as CCP, AZ-140, ITIL, AZ-104, AZ-900 are advantageous
  • Strong analytical, communication, and ownership skills
