Interim Director of Regeneration and Assets £800–£900 per day Inside IR35 Until April 26 London Local Authority Hybrid working (2–3 days per week on site) Start: ASAP Interviews: ASAP Reporting to the Corporate Director of Housing and Regeneration, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across regeneration, capital delivery, real estate assets, and facilities management. This role sits at the centre of a major transformation following the integration of the ALMO into the Council and the move towards a unified development function.   About the Director of Regeneration and Assets Role: Driving forward the Mayor’s 1,000-homes-a-year ambition through strategic site development, capital delivery, and programme governance. Overseeing the delivery of 5 key Mayoral priority projects, including extra care housing and community infrastructure. Leading regeneration and asset teams to ensure timely progression from site identification through to construction and delivery. Supporting the transition to a Corporate Landlord Model, introducing a more strategic and value-led approach to managing the council’s real estate assets. Working alongside the Housing Delivery Team to coordinate housing development activity and funding strategies, including GLA engagement. Managing operational performance, capital expenditure, risks, and outputs for all regeneration and FM activity.  Your previous experience Director of Regeneration and Assets: The successful candidate will be a seasoned regeneration and housing delivery leader with demonstrable experience delivering major capital programmes in a local authority or registered provider setting. Proven leadership of complex regeneration and development programmes, including affordable housing delivery at pace. Deep understanding of commercial property development, viability assessments, and securing funding partnerships. Experience overseeing large-scale real estate portfolios and facilities management functions. Ability to shape and implement asset strategies, including land repurposing and capital optimisation.
