Mechanical Technician – Gloucestershire – Up to £53,000 – Mon – Fri (days) Situation This role will provide experienced Mechanics/Technician the opportunity to progress into a new industry, learn new skills and be at the heart of a £15 Billion industry investment drive. Your New Organisation As a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will play an integral part of a business with over 130 years of experience providing transportation, in keeping their existing fleet in service, as well as playing a key part of new fleet introductions, as the transportation market leans further into renewable means. This role will allow you to continue enhancing your existing skills within heavy transportation, in addition to giving you a strong footing to develop new skills as the market itself matures. Within your new post, you will be required to carry out fitment, installation, repairs, servicing, and testing of transportation vehicles. The Candidate You will be comfortable with maintenance procedures of mechanical components such as brakes, suspension, engines, transmission, of motor vehicles. You will understand complex mechanical drawings, and be able work to written specifications set by our client on how they wish for their vehicles to be maintained You will understand the use of hand tools such as torque wrenches and be physically fit enough to handle them effectively. Essential You will need to have an NVQ Level 3 in order to qualify for this role Demonstrable experience of working in a maintenance remit on motor vehicles. You must be comfortable with morning Monday – Friday on a set 10 hour day shift.
