Sports Assistant – Secondary School, Twickenham Location: Twickenham, London Position: Sports assistant (Full-Time, term time only) Start date: September 2025 A secondary school in Twickenham is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive sports assistant/ PE technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a busy PE department and help inspire students to excel in sport and physical education. Key responsibilities: Assist PE staff with lesson preparation and setting up sports equipment. Support the delivery of science-based PE coaching sessions and extra-curricular sports clubs. Maintain, organise, and monitor PE equipment and storage areas to ensure safety and efficiency. Carry out administrative tasks, including team sheets, risk assessments, and coordinating events and fixtures. Drive students and staff to sports fixtures and events (using the school minibus or similar). Person specification: Must hold a full UK driving licence (essential) Previous experience supporting children through sports or coaching. Sports related degree – desirable Organised, reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and genuine passion for sport and working with young people.
