Mech Tech Professionals have an opportunity available for an experienced Cost Engineer to apprehend a permanent position based on a Chemical Manufacturing project based in Kingston Upon Hull, East Yorkshire. Our client, one of the UK\’s leading engineering and maintenance providers require a competent professional to start as soon as possible or upon availability. Overview As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating, controlling and managing costs associated with engineering projects on site. Primary goals will be to ensure projects are completed within budgets whilst quality is met and adhered to. Key Responsibilities: * Forecasting actual costs versus budgets in place * Provision of key financial data for internal reviews/P&L submissions * Collaborate with schedulers to align cost with time-based project milestones * Develop detailed cost estimates for projects during various phases * Risk Analysis i.e. best case, worst case & most likely for cost & value * Weekly cost ledger analysis using the clients\’ financial systems i.e. SAP & Power BI etc. * Cash Flow Forecasts * Produce regular cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders * Commercial auditing of each subcontract including payment applications, rates & claims * Value Determination i.e. Cost to Date & Forecasts to Complete * Other Qualifications & Experiences: * Certified/qualified within the Engineering, Construction or Finance field or similar * NEC 4 Option B Contracts * Knowledge of NAECI Agreements (Preferred) * Experience on major Construction Projects (Preferred) * Standard Method of Measurement * A good understanding of \’Contractor\’ projects Further details to be discussed during the on-boarding stages
